IMPORTANT DRIVER LICENSE INFORMATION
As of January 1, 2010, the documentation requirements have changed for Florida residents
wishing to renew or obtain a new driver license or identification card. Residents
visiting the office must now show proof of 1) Identification, 2) Social Security Number,
and 3) Residential Address (2 forms) before obtaining their identification card or driver license.

The Charlotte County Tax Collector's Office is now able to offer
affordable vehicle history reports directly from our website.

You may now report and pay your Tourist Tax online at www.touristtax.com/charlotte via e-check.
Motor vehicle fees in Florida have increased for all drivers
as a result of legislation enacted by the 2009 legislature. The Florida Dept. of Highway
Safety and Motor Vehicles has posted the new fees on their website.
As of August 1, 2009, shoreline anglers are now required to purchase a license. Find out more about
